Serving Authentic Puerto Rican Flan and Latino Cuisine

Our Purpose...

The Flan Club was born from the legacy of a kind and genuine woman who always made her home and table available to visitors and anyone in need. Even after she lived alone, she always had warm pots on the stove filled with delicious foods that could easily serve several people. It was rare that she ever had leftovers, and even if she only had enough to feed one person, she would divide the meal to feed however many people were present or she would passed her portion so another could eat. She fed her neighbors when they were ill or too weak to care for themselves, and she always enjoyed being of service to others. It is rare to find such genuine and compassionate hospitality and service these days. In honor of how our dear Doña Rosa transformed her community and lived an exemplary life of service to others until she passed away in 2008, the seed for The Flan Club is based in these values and traditions.

Our Cuisine...

The Padro family is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico with roots extending from Spain, the Canary Islands, and Western Africa- all which have greatly influenced Caribbean cuisine! The Flan Club will incorporate the diversity and complimentary elements of these cultures through the daily menu and specials we offer. Our cuisine will primarily offer Puerto Rican dishes and desserts.

Our Future...

We have an obligation to offer our surrounding communities the same hospitality and service our beloved Doña Rosa embodied. We believe that through such core values, we can fortify our community on many levels and be a part of its success and growth. As we support each other, the future will offer many exciting cultural and service-based opportunities for those we represent, interact with, and share our cuisine with. The Padro family looks forward to serving you at our home and table at 58 Henry Street in Binghamton, NY!
